John is very pleased to team up with ValetPRO for the 2013 racing season. ValetPRO are a leading British manufacturer, creating car care products designed to make cleaning easier and quicker.
Team HARD VW Cup Scholarship - 23.02.2013
Over the quieter winter months, John took part in a scholarship competion organised by Tony Gilham's Team HARD. The scholarship was 'x-factor' style, where over several different tests and exercises the drivers were put through there paces. The prize was a full seasons racing in the 2013 VW Cup. From abut 120 starters, John got through to the final and ended up third.
Victory in thrilling final race! - 28.10.2012
With an eight week gap and testing called off due to fog, John felt a little rusty going into the final race weekend of the year. The meeting was at Brands Hatch and part of the prestigious Formula Ford festival on 27th/28th October. Not only the glory of the racing, but also 2nd place in the championship was up for grabs and would be decided between John and team mate Nick Bowers.

John competed independently in kart racing for 10 years, with much success at club and national level. For 2011 he embarked on a new motorsport challenge - the BRSCC Ford Fiesta Championship, run by Ford Racing UK. This is billed as an entry level series and the first step on the 'tin-top' ladder. John adapted very well and won the Class A championship at the first attempt! In 2012 John stepped up to Class C for the newer Fiesta ST, taking 10 podiums including 3 wins and 3rd overall in the series.
Away from racing, John graduated from the University of Hertfordshire having read Motorsport Technology with Management and now works as an Project Manager, as well as instructing in his spare time.
