John competed independently in kart racing for 10 years, with much success at club and national level. For 2011 he embarked on a new motorsport challenge - the BRSCC Ford Fiesta Championship, run by Ford Racing UK. This is billed as an entry level series and the first step on the 'tin-top' ladder. John adapted very well and won the Class A championship at the first attempt! In 2012 John is stepping up to Class C for the newer Fiesta ST.

Away from racing, John graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2008 having read Motorsport Technology with Management and now works as an account manager, as well as instructing in his spare time.
