2020… take 2

You may have noticed that the world ground to a halt earlier this year. But, we’re back and this weekend marks the first race meeting for the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 SuperCup, at Cadwell Park. The full calendar for this delayed race season is:

Cadwell Park – 2nd August (2 races)
Anglesey – 22nd & 23rd August (3 races)
Silverstone – 13th September (2 races)
Brands Hatch – 24th & 25th October (3 races)

I am also joining Alex Miller, who has kindly invited me to share his car (see photo) in the BRSCC ClubSport Trophy. These races take place at the Cadwell Park, Anglesey and Silverstone meetings, as well as a additional one at Donington Park on 18th October. You can see my full calendar here.

If you can make it (and the rules allow), please do come to a race this year. All of the races are going to streamed live (except this first Cadwell meeting), so you can watch live from home. I will advertise the link to view this when the time comes, across my social media.

Alex and I have already had one race, which was a great warm up to get us back into the groove. It was the first post-COVID race meeting in the UK – at Snetterton in the Trackday Trophy – and we won our class. So far off to a good start!

Along with this new season, I also have some new partners joining. We have AMD Innovation, who among other things have wrapped my race car and printed logos on my race suit. I am now training at GO:VER Gym in Heathfield, so a big thank you to those guys for adding their expertise to my preparation. And finally Bartletts SEAT, which is owned by fellow Mazda racer Richard Bartlett. You can find out more about all of these guys on the Partners page.

Finally, I have set up a new section on the website with information about the upcoming race weekend, which I will update each time. It has everything from where we are, when we’re racing, where you can find living timing and also what my car number is. You can see it here and if you think of anything I should add then let me know.

Thanks for reading and you’ll hear from me after the race!
